Lightmap baking

" Lightmap is a data structure representing surface caching in which the brightness of surfaces in a scene is pre-calculated and stored in texture maps. It will be used in real-time rendering the scene for Actif3D player"

Actif3D uses path tracing algorithm for rendering (calculating) the lightmap.

Using HDRI image in Actif3D

An HDRI, which stands for High Dynamic Range Image, is a 360° image that is wrapped around our 3D scene for lighting and background purposes.

For example, it allows you replace the default sky with a sky texture that surrounds the scene.

" Hotspot is a point of interest with a predefined name. It helps to create views for navigating the scene in play mode. This list of views will also be available in the online viewer when you publish your scene."

The Hotspots tab allows you to create hotspot views in the scene and. It also allows you add interactions like

The Lights tab allows lights to be added to the scene and their properties to be set.

A light can have multiple Instances that share the same settings, with the exception of position and rotation. For example 6 identical downlights can be represented in Actif3D with 6 instances of the same Spot light, in which case adjusting the strength or color of the Spot light applies to all the instances at once.
